Easter 2013

 Easter Weekend 2013 ~ Grandma San's House

First it was fun with cousins.  Bronwyn and Morgen just loved holding Troy.  They were my good helpers!

Easter Morning

The Easter bunny had left trails of chocolate to their Easter baskets along with eggs hidden all over the basement. The kids just loved the excitement of finding all the eggs.   It was like a secret mission to Ethan.  He was all over that!

Decorating Easter Eggs

If it was up to Ethan he would have decorated 2 dozen or more eggs.  He just coloured them like it was a race!  Mikyla of course coloured her eggs PINK!

Rolling Easter Eggs

Generally we find a hill or something to roll Easter Eggs but the past couple of years we were blown over by the wind and cold so we decided to roll them down the bouncy castle this year.  However, I discovered these pictures, which would suggest that they got inventive and rolled eggs down the drain pipe as well!! How fun!  (I didn't see this as I was in the house with Troy at the time.)

Thanks for an amazing Easter!

Halloween Festivities

Look out... it's a crazy yellow Lion and Captain America!

Jumping back in time to Halloween... we had party after party and candies galore!  I think the kids were in Candy Land Heaven.  We started off the festivities a week before at a friends tot's Halloween party.  She had the placed elaborately decorated including creative treats and games.  The kids just hoovered around the food table and gobbled up the treats.  Ethan loved the balloon popping game and the silly string spider web games.

Thanks Janelle for the Halloween fun!

The following week, just a day before Halloween, along with two other mom's, I help organize and put together a Halloween Party for the Taber Stake Centre Playgroup.  We had pot luck food, spider/pumpkin crafts, pumpkin bowling, touch and feel mucky table, Halloween Parade, dance and a mini trick or treat.  The kids has so much fun!

Mikyla and Ethan enjoying the yummy food!

Mikyla is trying to keep up with all the other kids walking around the gym in Halloween Parade.

These are all the kids we could round up for a picture after our Halloween Parade.

Ethan and Mikyla trick or treating and enjoying their lolly pops after their bags are filled.

Mikyla wasn't too sure about all the slimy "Boogers", "Ghost Poop" or "Blended Brains," but Ethan didn't mind playing with the "Boogers" (Spaghetti)

Miklya a was so proud of the spider she made with pink sparkly legs!

Oh and we can't forget Pumpkin Carving!  You can see Mikyla's lovely maker drawing on the outside of this pumpkin.  But she wasn't a big fan of putting her hands in the pumpkin to clean it out.  Ethan was a good sport and helped his dad clean out what he could with a spoon.  Then they were both done and happily satisfied with a Popsicle.

Mikyla choose her pumpkin to be a Kitty.

Ethan wanted a doggy for his pumpkin.

Lastly was TRICK or TREATING!  The moment Ethan had been anticipating.  We went out on the 30th for Grandma San's house, Great Grandma Joanne and Great Grandpa Keith's house and one to friend as Halloween night we were in Calgary.  We spend Halloween night with Art and Marcia Trelevan's family and Uncle Ron.  Both night Ethan and Mikyla had a blast!  They couldn't get enough of knocking on doors despite the cold and snow.  Ethan went to so many houses that his bag broke.  I was surprise that Mikyla lasted about 30 - 45min, happily running to keep up with her brother.  It was a memorable Halloween!
