Thursday we ventured to beautiful sandy Wasaga Beach! The first thing Ethan did was find some friends. It seems wherever he goes he gravitates to the little girls. He found a mafia squad of about 5 little girls ages 3-6 who loved treating him like there 'little baby brother.' They followed him around making sure he was 'safe' and entertaining him him with this or that. He loved it! Of course this royal treatment didn't last long, but he soaked it up while he could.
We had a lovely visit with the girls parents. It turned out that 3 of them were sister enjoying time at there friends cottage.
The weather was ideal! Hot, sunny and water warm enough to relax and soak. Ethan thought so too! I was surprised when he would frequently join me in the water, splashing and swimming around.
On the way home Ethan feel asleep in the car. He was so tuckered out that we was out for the night. A fun day at the beach with no afternoon nap...now that's the way to get an early bed time!

Trip to the Toronto Zoo
Friday, August 13, 2010 | Labels: Ontario Summer Vacation 2010
After arriving in Barrie, Ontario on Tuesday it didn't take us long to head out on an adventure. First thing Wednesday morning, we were off to the Toronto Zoo!
Ethan went wild and crazy over the animals. I almost thought the zoo keepers were going put him to the monkey pen! The Kid Zoo was amazing with cutout trunk for high energy children to run through, fake lily pad for jumping, a tree house for climbing, a hug sand pit for large messes and of course ton of animals toddler could see at there level.

Ethan loved running around the child size gofer holes and he was very careful not to hit his head.

Randomly there were there wild birds out of their cage. I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not, but Ethan couldn't resister chasing after them.

The highlight of Ethan's day was certainly running like a wild child in the splash park. It was hard to tare him away even when his teeth started chattering. He was determined to stay, but mom's learned her lesson and whisked him off to see the rest of the zoo.
