What's better than a burnt hotdog smothered in ketchup and gooey burnt marshmallow with chocolate cookies? Tonight we ventured down to MD Park. Grandma San wiped up a flaming fire for us. Great Grandpa Keith and Great Grandma Joan came to join us along with cousin Sam and Uncle Adam.
Ethan just loved cooking the hot dogs. He wanted to cook more and more and more...although he really didn't want to eat any of them. Roasting marshmallows was a treat but eating them was even better for him. I'm not sure if Mikyla appreciated their stickiness. She only took a couple bits and then wanted her hands cleaned.
Way before Brent arrived from work and before we started eating Ethan wanted to go to the river to throw rocks. So as soon as 'Daddy' was finished eating they went off to the river. Mikyla, wanting to do everything here brother does, trailed along side her Daddy trying to catch up to Ethan. I think however, Mikyla was more interested in seeing how far Daddy would let her go into the water rather then throwing rocks. She just love to swim!
The bigger the better was Ethan's motto as he searched for the largest rock to throw in the river. It was so hard to get a decent picture of him as he scurried around the river bank looking to the perfect humungous rock.
NOTE: We really did have a hot dog roast, but I didn't manage to get any picture. I was too busy making sure the kids didn't burn themselves on the fire.
